Police and MCFRS personnel are on the scene of a serious two-car wreck on the inner loop of the Beltway near River Road.
The accident happened around 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday between River Road and the I-270 spur.
One vehicle involved was overturned and MCFRS spokesperson Pete Piringer said to expect some lanes to remain blocked by rescue personnel and equipment at the scene. Piringer said the accident led to serious injuries.
