Police Blotter: Assault Reported Outside Cava Mezze in Rockville

Assault and robbery outside Cava Mezze Restaurant

A man threatened a victim with a weapon and took property from him or her outside the Cava Mezze Restaurant at 9713 Traville Gateway Drive around 10:30 p.m. Nov. 15. Police described the suspect as a black man, about 5 foot 9 inches tall, wearing a black winter mask, black hoodie and jeans.

Parts taken from vehicle at Candlepower Inc.

Parts were taken from a vehicle parked at Candlepower Inc. at 14626 Southlawn Lane in Rockville the night of Nov. 13.

Two vehicles burglarized

Two unlocked vehicles were searched and cash was taken from them in the 7400 block of Bee Drive between 5 and 6 a.m. Nov. 14.

Property was taken after a forced entry into a residence in the 6700 block of Michaels Drive between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Nov. 17.

Assault on Strathmore Avenue

Someone known to the victim assaulted him or her in the 5000 block of Strathmore Avenue around 10:20 p.m. Nov. 14.

Commercial burglary at Vie de France

Property was taken after someone forced their way into Vie de France at 5218 Nicholson Lane around 4:30 a.m. Nov. 11

Chevy Chase

Residential burglary on Glendale Road

Property was taken from a residence in the 8000 block of Glendale Road between 10:40 and 11 a.m. Nov. 18.
