Police Blotter: Armed Robberies Reported in Bethesda, Chevy Chase

The following crimes were reported to Montgomery County Police from Nov. 3 to Nov. 11

Chevy Chase

Armed robbery on Westport Road

Two suspects threatened a victim with a weapon and took property in a robbery in the 5200 block of Westport Road on Nov. 7 around 8 p.m. Police described the suspects as black men, both about 5-foot-9, 170 to 180 pounds, wearing black jackets.

Two arrests made in vehicle thefts

Two men were arrested by police in seven incidents of thefts from auto around 2:30 a.m. on Nov. 10. Bethesda Beat previously reported on the arrests.

Attempted burglary at Luis Vuitton

Someone attempted to take property from the Louis Vuitton store in the 5400 block of Wisconsin Avenue around 8 a.m. on Nov. 10, but nothing was reported stolen.

Robbery at Whittier and Wilson

An 18-year-old man from Bethesda was arrested in an armed robbery that occurred at the intersection of Whittier Boulevard and Wilson Lane around 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 10.

Carjacking on Hampden Lane

Three men carjacked a young woman in the 7800 block of Hampden Lane on Nov. 5. Bethesda Beat previously reported on the incident.

Euro Motorcars burglarized

Euro Motorcars at 5206 River Road was burglarized twice. The first incident happened overnight between Nov. 4 and Nov. 5 and property was taken although no signs of forced entry were reported. The second incident happened overnight between Nov. 6 and Nov. 7, forced entry was reported and property taken.

Residential burglary on Fernwood Road

Someone forced their way into a residence in the 9200 block of Fernwood Road on Nov. 11 between 10:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and took property.

Theft on Cordell Avenue

Property was taken from someone while he or she was shopping in the 4900 block of Cordell Avenue on Nov. 7 between 7 and 10 p.m.

Arrest made in theft from vehicle

A 24-year-old Germantown man was arrested after reportedly taking property from a vehicle near the intersection of Grosvenor Lane and Fleming Avenue on Nov. 7.

Residential burglary on Beech Hill Drive

A home in the 9200 block of Beech Hill Drive was burglarized on Nov. 11 between 9:45 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Police reported signs of forced entry.

Armed robbery on Trailridge Terrace

A man threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property in an armed robbery in the 9600 block of Trailridge Terrace on Nov. 10 around 5:15 a.m. Police described the suspect as a white male, in his 20s, about 5-foot-6 and 150 to 160 pounds.

North Bethesda

Arby’s burglarized

Someone forced their way into Arby’s at 11710 Rockville Pike and took property sometime in the early morning hours of Nov. 8.

Rockville

Vehicle stolen on Veirs Mill Road

A vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of Safeway at 1902 Veirs Mill Rd. on Nov. 6 around 12:15 p.m.
