The developers of what could be the most expensive condo to ever sell in the Washington, D.C., area are not shy about showing off the Bethesda property.
The developers of ultra-luxury The Lauren in downtown Bethesda, 1788 Holdings and Persimmon Capital Partners, released additional renderings last week that show off the building’s penthouse unit currently priced at $10.5 million.
The 7,300-square-foot condo is on the top floor of the eight-level condo building currently under construction at the corner of Woodmont Avenue and Hampden Lane. The unit features three bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, a 600-square-foot salon, a gourmet kitchen with Wolf and SubZero appliances, slab stone and marble countertops, stone and hardwood flooring, and the ability to work with the designer and the building’s architect to customize the space. The penthouse also has a 1,500-square-foot private terrace attached to the building’s 3,000-square-foot shared rooftop terrace, which is equipped with a full catering kitchen.
Sales prices for the other 29 estate-quality condos in the building start at $1.5 million. The building will include 40 units with 34 priced at market rate and six listed as moderately priced dwelling units.
The developers are hoping they can attract residents looking to downsize from large suburban homes. The building’s amenities include a wine lounge, private elevators to certain units, a fitness center and 24-hour concierge service.
