Don’t worry about those zombies in Silver Spring on Saturday night, they’re just taking a stroll. Participants in the annual walk will gather from 7 to 8 p.m. next to Jackie’s Restaurant at 8081 Georgia Avenue and then walk along Sligo Avenue and turn north onto Georgia Avenue. A zombie dance party will begin on Fenton Street and the walk ends at AFI Silver Theatre around 9 p.m. Several roads on the route will be closed for the walk. Event organizers ask participants to focus on having fun, to not be too evil-looking, and to refrain from doing “stupid stuff.” Piratz Tavern will be hosting a Zombie Ball during and after the event at its 8402 Georgia Ave. location.
