Discovery ID Films True Crime Show at Tia Queta – A Silver Spring production company working on behalf of Investigation Discovery was at Tia Queta on Monday filming reenactments for the channel’s House of Horrors: Kidnapped show. An employee with the production company didn’t offer extensive details outside the restaurant Monday, but did say the crime being reenacted doesn’t have to do with a Bethesda-related case. No word on when it will air. The show is about people who have been kidnapped and live to tell their story.
Town of Chevy Chase notifies residents of lost parrot – Squawk! Keep your eyes open for a Timneh African grey parrot. The Town of Chevy Chase sent out a neighborhood alert Monday that a resident in the 3900 block of Thornapple Street lost one. The bird, which can live up to 50 years, has a gray and maroon tail. Anyone who spots the bird is asked to call 301-718-1668.
