Del Frisco’s Grille will open Sept. 25 in Rockville, becoming the first full-service restaurant in Federal Realty’s Pike & Rose development.

The restaurant will serve its signature American cuisine in a high-ceilinged setting featuring giant red lampshades, wood accents, red carpets, rows of booths and hanging lamps. A slogan emblazoned above the open kitchen reads, “Do right and feed everyman.”

The 7,700-square-foot restaurant seats 250 diners, and offers 56 seats on an outdoor patio overlooking Old Georgetown Road.

General manager Rahsaan Stone said the restaurant will employ about 150 people. Chef Cody Lynch comes to the restaurant after working as the executive chef at McCormick & Schmick’s in Crystal City, Va.

The Rockville restaurant is Del Frisco’s 16th location in the country. The chain opened a restaurant in the District in July 2012.

Stone said popular menu items include steaks, ahi tacos and cheesesteak egg rolls.

The restaurant will usher in a series of other business openings at the Pike & Rose development on Rockville Pike. Businesses scheduled to open this fall and winter include Stella Barra Pizzeria, Roti Mediterranean Grill, ShopHouse, Gap, City Sports and iPic Theaters.
