Family Displaced after House Fire in Silver Spring

No injuries were reported in the Wednesday morning fire

A two-story home in Silver Spring caught fire Wednesday morning causing significant damage to the residence.

Firefighters were called to the scene at 1213 Noyes Drive around 9 a.m. and were able to extinguish the blaze around 10:30 a.m. A smoke alarm alerted the family who was inside and they were able to escape without any injuries, according to fire department spokesman Pete Piringer.

Fire marshals are now working to determine the cause of the fire.
