Bainbridge Bethesda is the second high-rise apartment building to open this year in downtown Bethesda in what’s becoming a race to open residential projects in the city.
At 17 stories plus a roof deck, the new building is similar to Gallery Bethesda, its Woodmont Triangle counterpart that opened earlier this year.
Bainbridge Bethesda has a total of 200 units and its amenities include a rooftop pool, 15th floor exercise center, a lounge with shuffleboard table, outdoor grilling station and a second floor business center. Its public amenity is a walkway between St. Elmo and Fairmont Avenues with artwork and tables. It was developed by The Brainbidge Companies, which has headquarters in Bethesda and Wellington, Fla.
The building is located at 4918 St. Elmo Avenue. The architect was SK+I, a Bethesda-based firm that also designed the Lot 31 project currently under construction near Bethesda Row.
Steven France, the senior property manager at the building, said it’s currently about 21.5 percent leased. Rents range from $1,975 per month for a studio to $5,500 for a two bedroom with a den.
