Lobster on a stick?

Seafood fans will find that dish and everything else lobster from rolls to tacos when Lobster ME, a restaurant with two Las Vegas locations, opens at Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda in late October.

The new location will be in the shopping mall’s dining terrace, which is approaching completion, according to mall officials who offered press a tour of the expansion Wednesday.

Lobster ME gets its lobsters from Maine and serves them in a variety of dishes, including the Lobsicle—a lobster tail on a stick—which customers have the option of ordering battered and deep fried. The menu for the Bethesda location also will feature Maryland blue crab, according to Lobster ME CEO Jeffrey Fine.

“Lobster ME makes every item to order out of its entirely ‘scratch’ kitchen using premium, sustainable ingredients,” Fine said in a press statement. “Our menu is influenced by the international dining scene of Las Vegas and its discerning customer base of global travelers.”

The menu for the restaurant’s Las Vegas locations includes a Maine lobster roll for $17, a Lobsicle for $14, lobster mac and cheese for $12, lobster tacos for $17 and non-lobster items including fish ’n’ chips for $12, clam chowder for $8 and cajun fries for $4.

The company says it plans to rapidly expand on both the East and West coasts.
