Avant Garde Ballroom celebrated its 2nd anniversary last Sunday, August 3, by “Puttin’ On the Ritz” with an extraordinary evening for its students and local dance professionals.
The evening began with a cocktail reception featuring a fashion showby Dress for Dance, a custom dress designer for dance champions and red carpet celebrities. There were about 100 guests who were treated to Show Dance performances by Cabaret Champions JJ Zamora and Sheena Daminar from New York.They also enjoyed a wonderful dinner and, of course, plenty of dancing throughout the night.
Studio owners Michaela “Pinky”Puno, Nick Short, and Slava Sergiev thanked the staff and professional dance instructors who continue to support Avant Garde and took the opportunity to introduce the newest members of the Avant Garde Team. The 3 are Ten Dancers from Belarus, all of them garnering honors in their competitions – Alexey Peiganovich and brother-sister tandem Zhenya and Dasha Yarmoshko.
