The good news is once we get through today’s rain the rest of the week is expected to be beautiful. The bad news is today’s storms could bring as much as two inches of rainfall to the area.
The National Weather Service expects showers throughout the day, with thunderstorms possible after 2 p.m. Between a quarter to a half an inch of rain is expected to fall today and then another half to three quarters of an inch is expected tonight, according to the weather service.
NWS warns localized thunderstorms could bring strong winds and localized flash flooding as well as the possibility of an isolated tornado this afternoon.
Once it’s all over, we’ll be treated with sunny days and highs in the low-80s until Sunday, predicts NWS.
