Rita’s Crepes cart closes – Rita’s Crepes, a permanent food cart that was located on Bethesda Avenue near the Barnes & Noble store, has closed. Bethesdanow.com first reported Friday that the crepes cart closed after being told by the county that it was in violation of state mobile food vendors regulations because the cart wasn’t mobile. The owner later posted a letter to the front of the cart, thanking customers for their business over the past six years. “For me personally,” wrote the cart’s owner, Rhita Douglass, “the crepes were a sacred medium to reach out to you and I loved every minute of it.”
