Growlers Reopens in Gaithersburg – In January a pipe burst at Growlers of Gaithersburg, causing significant damage to the interior that forced the owners to close the restaurant. But after an 8-month rebuild and renovation, the restaurant officially reopened on Monday. The East Diamond Avenue brewpub announced the news on its Facebook page. The restaurant, founded in 1994, is known for its selection of house-brewed craft beers.

Tout de Sweet aiming to open next week – The Woodmont Triangle pastry shop that has been closed for more than two months for renovations and a small expansion hopes to reopen next week. Jerome Colin, who co-owns the shop with his wife, Sofia, said Tuesday that they’re just waiting for a new display case to arrive before reopening. The shop is expanding its kitchen and adding tables and seating in a space that grew slightly with the acquisition of a portion of the former Gaylords Lamps and Shades store at 7833 Woodmont Ave.
