The Dough Roller opens in Rockville – An Ocean City institution is now doing business in Rockville. The Dough Roller, which operates four pizza restaurants in Ocean City, opened its Rockville location in the King Farm Village Center on Sunday. It’s the only Dough Roller location outside of the Maryland resort city. The menu includes pancakes, a variety of sandwiches, salads, burgers and, of course, pizza. Pies cost $14.25 for a large cheese and between $12.50 and $14 for smaller specialty pizzas such as the Buffalo Chicken or the Hawaiian. If you don’t want to dine in, the restaurant also offers takeout.

Eastham’s Demolished – The construction boom in Bethesda continues, and its latest victim is the former Eastham’s auto service center. Workers demolished the last remnant of the former Exxon station at 7100 Wisconsin Ave. over the weekend. Eastham’s opened at the location in 1929. The property is the future site of the $60 million Solaire Bethesda, a 139-unit luxury apartment building being constructed by Washington Property Company.
Eastham’s moved to a new location at the corner of Fairmont Avenue and Old Georgetown Road, although that’s just temporary, as the site is also slated for future development.
