More nice weather – The weather this week may not be as nice as last week, but it’s pretty close. There’s a chance of showers Monday and Tuesday afternoon as well as on Thursday. Besides that though, each weekday is expected to be partly sunny, with temperatures in the mid-80s, possibly stretching into the 90s on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service. Nighttime lows are predicted to fall into the 60s.

Public hearing on Winston Churchill turf field – The Montgomery County Council is holding a public hearing on a proposal to install an artificial turf field at Winston Churchill High School. The $1.3 million field will be paid for by the school’s booster club and the Bethesda Lacrosse/ Potomac Soccer Association. The Board of Education previously approved the proposal in June. Also on the Council’s agenda is a work session on the White Oak Science Gateway Master Plan and a presentation by the Right to Vote Task Force.
