Frank Linn’s new pizza bungalow is finally complete. Linn announced on Frankly Pizza’s Facebook page Wednesday night that his new restaurant, Frankly… Pizza, will open July 23.

Linn started a mobile version of Frankly… Pizza two years ago and brought his pizza trailer (featuring a brick oven) to local farmers’ markets and private events. But last summer he settled on a small brick-and-mortar place on Armory Avenue in Kensington that was previously the location of Two Pears Café.

Linn had originally hoped to open by late April, but was setback by contracting work and the time it took to obtain final inspections from county agencies.

Linn’s menu includes about eight different pies and a few salads. Linn cures his own meats like pancetta, pork belly and prosciutto to top his pizzas. You should expect to find a couple of his wood-fired signatures at the restaurant like the Porky Marge (a margherita pizza topped with his cured pork belly) and the Hot Mess! (with pickled and roasted jalapenos, caramelized onions, bacon and gruyere cheese).
