The State Highway Administration was scheduled to begin a road resurfacing project on Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda on Sunday, but it was delayed due to rain, according to the Gazette.
The project, which is expected to take until the fall to complete, is now scheduled to begin this Sunday.
The roadway on Wisconsin Avenue between Bradley Lane and Old Georgetown Road will be removed, patched and then resurfaced as part of the $2.5 million project.
Crews may close one lane in both directions between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. as they work to complete the resurfacing. SHA estimates at more than 45,000 vehicles use this roadway every day.
