The owners of Indique Heights say the 7,200 square foot restaurant in Chevy Chase is too large and plan to slim it down to less than half its size, according to a Washington Post report.
The paper reported the restaurant will close July 19 to begin construction that will reduce the size of the space and the work will take at least four months. Space not used for the restaurant will be made into different properties.
As part of the process, co-owners Surfy Rahman and K.N. Vinod plan to renovate the space to make it more contemporary, according to the Post.
The restaurant has been open at its Wisconsin Circle location for the past 8 years.
