On Sunday, June 15 Washington, D.C. area children came out for the Just TRYAN It's 5th annual kids triathlon. The triathlon was held at the Landon School in Bethesda and is one of the area's largest fundraisers for children's cancer charities. A total of 508 kids raced this year, a record turnout
All funds were donated to MedStar Georgetown University Hospital to support famnilies with children diagnosed with cancer by easing their financial burdens and allowing their focus to be on their family and helping their children get better. The event raised $165,000 this year, bringing the foundation's lifetime total to about $565,000
