Police Blotter: Man Arrested for Indecent Exposure in Bethesda

Indecent exposure arrest

Police arrested a 34-year-old male for indecent exposure after an alleged incident in the 5400 block of Wisconsin Avenue on May 6 around 11 a.m.

Commercial burglary at Lindy Promotions

Someone forced their way into Lindy Promotions at 4343 Montgomery Ave. at 11 p.m. on May 6. Police do not know what was taken.

Twenty thefts from vehicles reported

A total of 20 thefts from vehicles were reported in the Bethesda, primarily during overnight hours  between April 28 and May 6. Some of the victims reported forced entry to their vehicles, but most involved no signs of force. Items taken included laptops, GPS units, iPods and loose cash.

Residential burglary on Michaels Drive

Someone forced their way into a home in the 660 block of Michaels Drive and stole property on May 1 between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

 

Chevy Chase

Residential burglary on Williams Lane

Forced entry was made into a home in the 3700 block of Williams Lane during the early morning hours of May 1. Police did not know what was taken.

Residential burglary on Daniel Road

Forced entry was made into a home in the 2900 block of Daniel Road at an unknown time on May 6. Police did not know what was taken.

 

Kensington

Robbery and assault

Two men assaulted multiple people in the 3300 block of University Boulevard on April 29 around 2 p.m. and stole property. Police did not provide detailed suspect descriptions.

Burglary on Cleveland Street

Someone took property from a garage in the 400 block of Cleveland Street on May 3 between midnight and 9 a.m. No forced entry was made to the garage.

 

Potomac

Tablet, cash taken in Potomac vehicle burglaries

Two vehicle burglaries were reported in Potomac on April 30. The first occurred between 1 and 7:35 a.m. in the 13300 block of Deerbrook Drive. An MP3 player, clothing and a backpack were taken from an unlocked vehicle. In the second, a tablet computer and portable hotspot device were taken from an unlocked vehicle between 4:30 and 10:45 a.m. in the 10600 block of Beechknoll Lane.

 

North Bethesda

Sex assault

A sexual assault committed by someone known to the victim occurred on May 1 between 3:50 and 6 p.m. in the 12400 block of Village Square Terrace.

Aggravated assault near Nicholson Court

An aggravated assault committed by someone known to the victim occurred around noon on May 2 near the intersection of Nicholson Lane and Nicholson Court

 

Silver Spring

Sex assault, inappropriate touching

A man touched someone inappropriately near the intersection of Garland Avenue and Domer Avenue on May 1 at 7:41 a.m. Police described the man as a white male, about 30 to 40 years old, with short, scruffy facial hair who was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black baseball cap, blue jeans and black sneakers.

Robbery and assault on East West Highway

Someone assaulted and stole property from a person in the 1900 block of East West Highway on May 1 around 10:15 p.m.

17-year-old arrested in robbery

A 17-year-old Silver Spring resident was arrested after allegedly assaulting and robbing someone in the 8500 block of 16th Street on May 2 around 1:30 a.m.

Property taken in burglary on East West Highway

Property was taken from a home in the 1900 block of East West Highway sometime between April 28 and May 2. Police found no signs of forced entry.

Arrest in attempted residential burglary

Police arrested a 21-year-old Silver Spring man after he allegedly attempted a residential burglary in the 8600 block of 16th Street on April 30 around 7:30 p.m. Police reported the man attempted to force his way into the home.

Robbery on Featherwood Court

Three males assaulted a person and stole property in a robbery on May 5 at 3:30 p.m. on Featherwood Court.

Attempted bank robbery

A man attempted to rob the SunTrust Bank located inside the Safeway at 13814 Outlet Drive on May 1 at 2:50 p.m. The man was described as a black male, about 30 years old, 6 feet tall and 200 pounds, wearing black framed glasses and a baseball cap.
