Firefighter Injured in Chevy Chase Fire

The blaze caused about $400,000 in damage to the home.

Montgomery County firefighters responded to a residential house fire late Sunday night in Chevy Chase that left a firefighter injured.

Fire department spokesman Peter Piringer reported that a basement fire at a house on the 3300 block of Brooklawn Terrace caused about $400,000 in damage to the two-story home. Firefighters responded to the scene around 11 p.m. Sunday night.

The residents were not home at the time of the fire. Piringer was not immediately available on Monday morning to discuss the extent of the firefighter’s injuries.
