Add Bethesda to another top living list. This time it’s Livability.com that selected the city as the fourth best place in the country for new college graduates.
The website, which examines medium-size and small cities, found that Bethesda had the lowest unemployment rate in the top 10 at 1.3 percent. The website also cited high levels of education, easy access to public transportation, and local research facilities and companies like Lockheed Martin, the National Institutes of Health and IBM as factors in its ranking.
Ranked above Bethesda are Austin, Texas, at 3; Bellevue, Wash., at 2; and Cambridge, Mass., at No. 1.
In a different ranking, Livability.com found Rockville to be the 11th best small or medium-size city in the country in which to live. Money Magazine ranked Bethesda as the top-earning town in the country in 2012 and as the fifth best place in American to “live and launch” in 2008.
