Gansler Supporters Withdraw Fundraising Lawsuit – Supporters of gubernatorial candidate Doug Gansler withdrew a lawsuit to prevent opponent Anthony Brown’s running mate to fundraise during the legislative session. Brown this week said his ticket — which includes Lt. Gov. candidate Ken Ulman — hasn’t and never intended to raise money during the session. The lawsuit came up when it was ruled that Ulman, who is Howard County Executive, would be able to fundraise for the gubernatorial campaign. Gansler, who is attorney general, his running mate Del. Jolene Ivey and Brown, who is lieutenant governor, are all barred from fundraising during the session because of their state-level offices. [The Gazette]
News Not Improving On State Healthcare Website – A state report says Maryland’s defective health care exchange website could cost the state $30.5 million. The website reportedly can’t determine whether enrollees remain eligible for Medicaid. Maryland fired the contractor that built the website earlier this week. [WAMU]
