Two rounds of snow with some freezing rain thrown in has left much of the area a snowy, icy mess on Friday.
We’ve seen a few complaints about barely shoveled sidewalks in pedestrian-heavy areas:

Property owners are responsible for clearing their public sidewalks, driveways and entrances within 24 hours of the end of a snow storm. In Bethesda, it’s safe to say the snow ended by 10 p.m. on Thursday.
The first photo in the slide show above is one of the worst we’ve seen around town on Friday. This photo was taken at 11 a.m. It’s the sidewalk on the northbound side of Woodmont Avenue at St Elmo Avenue and much of it hasn’t been touched.
Much of Woodmont Triangle has been covered, thanks to the folks at the Bethesda Urban Partnership.
If you haven’t already, help a neighbor out by clearing the sidewalks in front of their homes, especially those who might not be able to shovel.
