Montgomery County Police on Thursday released surveillance photos of two suspects they say stole two diamond rings worth more than $20,000 from a North Bethesda jewelry store.
Police say that on Dec. 16 at about 2:10 p.m., the black male and black female pictured came in to the Masica Diamonds store (11763 Rockville Pike). The female suspect acted like a customer to distract the store employee, according to police, while the man stole two diamond rings from a display case.
The rings have a combined value of over $20,000, said police, who typically don’t announce the values of stolen items in theft cases.
Anyone with information about this crime or the male or female in the photographs is asked to call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). You will remain anonymous and Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest and/or indictment for this felony crime.
