Lee Could End Up As Lone Candidate For State Senate – Many expected a well-financed second candidate for the District 16 State Senate seat being vacated by Brian Frosh. So far, Del. Susan Lee is running unopposed. Reggie Oldak, a familiar District 16 Democrat who said she was considering a run against Lee now says she won’t run. Bethesda Magazine mentions former County Councilmember Duchy Trachtenberg and former delegate candidate Kyle Lierman as possibilities. Many say Lierman, who ran a well-financed campaign for delegate in 2010 thanks to the political connections of his dad Terry, won’t run this time around. His sister Brooke is running for delegate in Baltimore and that’s where the family’s focus is, according to District 16 observers. [Bethesda Magazine]
