The JBG Companies, ROSS Development & Investment and the CIM Group celebrated the groundbreaking of 7770 Norfolk on Thursday, October 3.
The new 17-story development at the corner of Woodmont and Norfolk Avenues will include 244 apartments and 6,000 square feet of retail.
In addition, there will be four levels of underground parking, including public parking, and a pbulic pathway connecting Fairmont Avenue with the parking garage. William Cochran, an artist from Frederick, Md., will provide art for this pathway.
The exterior design is by FXFOWLE Architects of New York City and will feature "crisp, white metal panels" juxtaposed against "minimalist glass and textured bronze panels," according to a news statement.
The interior architecture will be by Cecconi Simon and will include an "urban rooftop pool with outdoor living rooms and scenic outlooks from the upper stories."
