The vacant Plaza Del Sol space in Woodmont Triangle will soon be filled with a new Korean restaurant.

An employee at the site (4932 St Elmo Ave.) said the owners are hoping to have the restaurant open soon, though some permitting remains for the 1,150-square-foot space.

Workers have set up chairs and a new kitchen. The restaurant will offer an express lunch service and a more formal dinner setting. It will be among the few Korean restaurants in Bethesda and the only one in Woodmont Triangle, known for its ethnic eateries.

The Plaza Del Sol awning hasn’t changed yet. The Mexican restaurant opened in 2011 and was perhaps best known for its Saturday night Flamenco dancing.

But its owners were overdue on bills. After a dispute with the landlord, the restaurant shut down abruptly in April.
