The Conflict Resolution Center of Montgomery County will host a workshop on Saturday for members of neighborhood associations and other nonprofit groups in the Bethesda Chevy Chase area.
The goal is to build “high-performing community organizations,” by discussing issues, priorities and how to get information that can improve local neighborhoods.
Based out of the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Services Center (4805 Edgemoor Lane) the Conflict Resolution Center began in 2001 after downcounty residents became concerned about a growing number of neighborhood disputes that seemingly could be worked out without lawsuits or litigation. But there was no venue for dealing with those disputes, so the county-funded nonprofit began offering mediation to roomates and housemates, neighbors, employers and employees and others.
The event will be part idea-exchange and part-networking with other civic leaders. Anyone interested in attending should RSVP to yonelle@crcmc.org.
The workshop is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Services Center.
