Bethesda Big Train Kicks Off Season With Free Games

May 29, 2013 12:05 p.m.

The Bethesda Big Train is starting its season on Saturday with a free exhibition game and magnet schedule giveaway.

The summer team for collegiate players will play the Mid-Atlantic Rookies at 7:30 p.m. at Shirley Povich Field in Cabin John Regional Park (10600 Westlake Dr.). It’s one of three free exhibition games at the Park. The Sunday and Monday games, also at 7:30 p.m., will be free.

The team plays in the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League, a group of D.C. and Baltimore area teams that give college players an opportunity to use wood bats and play in front of pro scouts.

For more information and for a full schedule of games, visit Bethesda Big Train’s website.
