The warm weather will soon be knocking at our door and that means it’s time to start investing in a few pairs of shorts. This year, try experimenting with different lengths, textures and fabrics. I’ve rounded up three types I’m loving this season.

Print: As we’ve seen with pants, prints are a huge trend for the season, so why not try out shorts with bold floral and graphic patterns, too?

Bermuda: These shorts were seen all over the runways for spring. They offer more coverage for those who don’t wish to show off a lot of leg and they’re perfect for this chilly weather we are experiencing in the DC area.

Lace: I love the feminine look of lace. It instantly softens up any outfit. These shorts can be an option for dressier spring/summer occasions.

Paired any of these with with flats, ankle-cuff sandals and wedges.
