It's wedding season, so you've probably received plenty of invitations to all different types of soirees. Now, it's time to find the perfect (and appropriate) dress.

This task can be super stressful, especially if you wait until the last minute – like I did this week. After sifting through a ton of frocks, I put together a mini guide to make your search a little easier.

For garden parties, look for flirty, floral, a-line dresses – try designers like Shoshanna and Trina Turk.

Beach weddings are perfect for comfortable, flowing, dresses. There is never a shortage of these designs in Diane von Furstenberg and BCBGMAXAZRIA collections.

For more formal affairs, try to steer clear of the typical dark colors and stiff fabrics and add some flair with long, feminine dresses in soft pastels.

If you've already been to a few weddings this Spring, what advice would you give when looking for that perfect frock?

BEACH (L to R):
