Mi Cocina opens May 10: After you plunk down some major moolah for a pair of Jimmy Choo’s at The Collection at Chevy Chase, you’ll be able to drop by Mi Cocina for some reasonably priced tacos, enchiladas and fajitas. The Tex-Mex restaurant, part of a Dallas-Fort Worth chain with 21 locations in the U.S., opens a branch on Friday, May 10, on the Wisconsin Avenue chic shopping strip. The restaurant will seat 155, and feature custom chandeliers and artwork depicting creatures and plants from Tampico, Mexico.

Black Restaurant Group provides purveyor details: Want to know the specific species, harvest locations, fishermen biographies and other info about the oysters, mussels, rockfish and other seafood you’re eating at the Black Restaurant Group’s establishments? Or learn about the farmer who grew your salad? The restaurant group, which owns Black’s Bar & Kitchen, Black Market Bistro, Addie’s (all in Montgomery County), and BlackSalt and Pearl Dive Oyster Palace (in DC), is now providing the origin of its ingredients. For those that come from the sea, check out http://www.blackrestaurantgroup.com/eco-practices/by-sea. By land, http://www.blackrestaurantgroup.com/eco-practices/by-land. At the restaurants, diners can also ask for a wine-list style menu with all the QR codes of the producers.

Haven Pizzeria Napoletana’s menu additions: The worthy original menu isn’t going away, but the coal-fired pizza restaurant in Bethesda is in the midst of launching a host of new dishes and pie combinations. Those would include hand-rolled meatballs with house-made marinara; coal-oven roasted chicken salad, and focaccia sandwiches filled with Italian meats, chicken parmesan or roast turkey, smoked mozzarella and balsamic glaze. Sunny side up eggs are making an appearance on two new pizzas (a vegetarian and meat) and the signature clam pizza is being joined by a new seafood combo with shrimp, mozzarella, onions, red peppers, spinach, garlic, oil and pecorino.

Le Vieux Logis’s lowers prices, adds new items: The longtime Bethesda eatery has dropped the prices of about a dozen appetizers, and the prices of several entrees have been lowered substantially, according to owner Diana Dahan. New items include a variety of main plate salads (steak, chicken and salmon) and daily specials that focus on Danish cuisine.

Paladar Latin Kitchen & Rum Bar opening this summer: Somewhat more specific word on the opening of the North Bethesda Market location of this Latin American chain—late July or early August. The restaurant, which has three other locations so far (Annapolis, Cleveland and Hallandale Beach) will be serving up its signature slow roasted and grilled meats and fish (i.e. Cuban Ropa Vieja), and of course, lots of rum   (flavored, spiced, white, gold, dark, aged, plus flights and tasting-sized pours).
