Strathmore and Federal Realty Investment Trust (FRIT) announced Saturday night that they are partnering on a 250-seat music venue in FRIT’s Pike & Rose mixed use development, which is currently under construction at the intersection of Old Georgetown Road and Rockville Pike.

The venue, which is yet to be named, will feature regional music acts Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. The space will be available for private events at other times.

Strathmore founder and CEO Eliot Pfanstiehl made the announcement at the Strathmore Gala. He said the venue will have “club-like seating” and will feature “acoustic, jazz, samba and big band” performers.

“You will now have a night life in Montgomery County,” Pfanstiehl said.

The club, which is slated to open early in 2015, will serve food and drinks, he said.

Located at the site of Mid-Pike Plaza, Pike & Rose will be a 24-acre urban community featuring residences, offices, stores, restaurants, a hotel and arts and entertainment venues.
