The S&R Foundation hosted its inaugural Spring Celebration Gala at Bethesda Blues and Jazz Supper Club on Saturday, April 6. Gwen Tolbart, award-winning anchor for FOX 5 WTTG-TV, served as emcee for the event.
The celebration also featured internationally acclaimed jazz pianist, Keiko Matsui.
“We are proud to present Keiko Matsui at our first Spring Celebration Gala. A performer who has travelled across the globe, Keiko is known for the blending of international influences that contributes to her unique musical style,” said Dr. Sachiko Kuno, president and CEO of the S&R Foundation. “The S&R Foundation has a great respect for the preservation of historic venues and we are honored to present one of the first concerts at the Bethesda Blues and Jazz Supper Club after the theater’s renovation and restoration.”
