Last night, over 170 community leaders stopped by the AFI Silver to celebrate the legacy and humble leadership of Barbara Ott. As Executive Director of YMCA Youth & Family Services (YFS) for 27 years, she pioneered social service programs and collaborations in Montgomery County.
Her retirement was celebrated with a special video produced by a former YFS youth, an El Salvadorian dance by current program participants, and heartfelt speeches.
Attendees included her fellow Leadership Montgomery and Bethesda Rotary members, Carol Trawick of the Trawick Foundation, YMCA leadership and more.
