Just before the New Year, I wrote about essentials every woman should have in her closet. One of the items I included was a blazer. A few years ago I bought an amazing, crisp, white one. I planned many an ensamble around this piece. I found every excuse to wear it. And then I lost it. Sadly (oh, so very sadly), I left it behind in my room at the W Hotel while I was traveling for work. Now, the W's Whatever/Whenever Service may work for many requests, but it does not bring back your favorite white blazer.
I’ve tried to block out this devastating memory. Losing one of my favorite items from my wardrobe was a bummer. Mainly because I have never been able to find the perfect replacement. I gave up my search a while ago, but recently I’ve been seeing white blazers cropping up all over the place and it has reenergized my search.
A lightweight, white blazer is a great alternative to the regular old black or navy blue one. It looks fantastic over a chambray shirt, paired with casual denim or worn to break up a monochromatic look.
Here are a few I have my eye on.
1. Alexander Wang Open Front Blazer (farfetch.com)
2. Joseph Oversized Crepe Blazer (The Outnet)
3. Elizabeth and James Heather Crepe Blazer (Saks Fifth Avenue – Chevy Chase)
4. Virgule Off-White Blazer (Sandro)
