More than 100 people joined Carol Trawick, founder of The Trawick Prize: Bethesda Contemporary Art Awards, in celebrating the 10th anniversary of art competition at a reception held Friday, Nov. 2, in Bethesda.
The Trawick Prize is produced annually by the Bethesda Arts & Entertainment District and the Bethesda Urban Partnership.
Baltimore artist Jo Smail received the Sapphire Award and $10,000 at the event. Washington, D.C. artist Mia Feuer was named the People’s Choice Award winner and received $1,000.
The People’s Choice competition was held in conjunction with Bethesda Magazine.
