Its proximity to the nation’s capital and wealthy neighborhoods have made the Bethesda-Chevy Chase area home to a number of political pundits, government officials and other well known figures.
Now, a website called Bigwig Digs is chronicling the past D.C.-area homes of the rich and famous and a number of Bethesda and Chevy Chase properties are in the fold.
Journalists Tom Braden and David Brinkley lived in Chevy Chase. So did President Lyndon Johnson’s Vice President Hubert Humphrey. Former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor called Chevy Chase home until 2005.
Former Washington Wizards star Antawn Jamison and boxer Mike Tyson had homes in Bethesda.
The website, from real estate news website Urban Turf, supplies information and locations for most homes and launched on Oct. 1.
