More than 340 riders gathered in the early morning hours on Sunday, September 30, in Montgomery County, Md to participate in the Lymphoma Research Foundation’s sixth annual Lymphoma Research Ride. This year’s record-breaking event, which has raised more than $2 million for lymphoma research since 2006, brought in more than $500,000 in donations, setting an all-time record for the ride.
Local Washington, D.C. television network WJLA-TV was one of the sponsors of the event this year. WJLA senior political reporter and anchor Scott Thuman emceed the ride kick-off, and rode alongside riders in the 25-mile bike route.
