Montgomery Drivers Lead State in Bus Stop Violations – According to a study by the Maryland State Department of Education one day last April, 1,494 Montgomery County drivers ignored the stop arm of school buses picking up and dropping off students at a stop. McDonald’s Closes For Building Construction – The McDonald’s on East-West Highway, across from Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School, closed this week ahead of construction of a nine-story commercial and ground floor retail building on the site. NFL Donates $30 million to NIH For Brain Injury Research – On the same day the Centers for Disease Control released a study that said NFL players are three times as likely as the general population to die from a neurodegenerative disease, the league made a $30 million donation to NIH for brain injury research.
