Anora Home, the locally owned upscale home furnishings store in Friendship Heights, is in its final days with July 15 slated as its closing time.
In the meantime, designer Karen Lukinson says that “no reasonable offer will be refused” for the remaining Italian leather sofas and chairs, tables and beds already marked 50 percent to 75 percent off.
The store has been replenishing sold items with fresh stock twice a week from the $1 million worth of furnishings remaining in the warehouse. We reported here in March that owner Sean Amini said that he’d close once the inventory was gone. He’d predicted June, but the store managed to stay open for a few additional weeks. Lukinson notes that this isn’t a bankruptcy sale, but a “good business” closing due to the sluggish economy.
