Eating Out Again During the Power Outage? Cut Costs with these Kids' Meal Deals

Some suggestions for kids-eat-free specials in Bethesda.

As the food rots in our fridge, and little to no ice to be found, meals are a challenge. We have been alternating dining on peanut butter and nutella sandwiches with dining out. We're lucky to have so many options open and easy to get to, but this is getting a bit pricey. If predictions prove correct that the power won't be back on until July 6, here's a plan that will help you reduce the cost of the meal in that air-conditioned restaurant, at least a little.

Monday: We'll be heading to Freddy’s Lobster & Clams for dinner (kids eat free all day long.)

Tuesday: See you at Parker’s. On Tuesday nights, you get one kid's meal free with one adult entree. (12 and under.)

Wednesday: Fourth of July. Guess we'll figure out how to get the hotdogs straight from the supermarket to the grill.

Thursday: Lebanese Taverna for dinner. From 5-6:30, you get one kid's meal free with one adult entree. (Kids under 12. Lebanese Taverna has this offer Monday-Thursday.)

Friday: Please let this be over!
