The 3rd Annual Washington Revels SunFest welcomed summer in downtown Silver Spring on Sunday, June 10, with clear skies and a summery sun bringing big crowds to celebrate the start of the new season.
Thousands flocked to Ellsworth Street to hear music on two stages, shop the artisan folk mart, sample foods from different cultures and dance in the street.
Children made handicrafts, helped create a living artwork, and cooled off in the fountain. The festival opened with a parade of cultures and singing with audience participation.
