On Sunday, June 3 Olney Concert Band hosted Maryland Community Band Day 2012 at Veterans Plaza in Downtown Silver Spring.
The event featured performances by seven different bands from throughout the state of Maryland, representing Montgomery, Anne Arundel, Washington, and Harford Counties.
Maryland Community Band Day, celebrating its 24th year, was originally created to highlight the presence and role of adult community bands throughout the state. Bands are given a unique opportunity to perform for each other while sharing their talents with the public.
