Rebuilding Hope: The RTMC Playhouse Project

Live auction of eight playhouses in conjunction with Rebuilding Together Montgomery County

On Thursday, May 31, Rebuilding Together Montgomery County (RTMC) held an auction at the Shops at Wisconsin Place in Chevy Chase as part of a fundraising initiative “Rebuilding Hope: The RTMC Playhouse Project.”

Eight one-of-a-kind playhouses that were each designed and donated by the area's leading builders to help support RTMC and its mission of creating safe and healthy homes for low income and disabled individuals.

At the end of the night, more than $114,000 was raised for RTMC, $53,500 of which was raised from the sales of the playhouses alone.

Anthony Wilder Design/Build, Inc.'s "Engine # 7913," a playhouse modeled after the former Cabin John fire station, will be donated to The Children's Inn at NIH. In addition, the "Old Time Storefront" playhouse by Dorman Builders, will be donated to Walter Reed.
