Robin Greger and her daughter, Ilana Kashdan, opened the contemporary B Scene at Cabin John Mall in Potomac in 2002.
B Scene is currently running 20 percent off your entire purchase through Mother’s Day.
Betty Barati and her two daughters, Shiva Zarghan and Sherri Hatam, opened Belina boutique in Bethesda’s Wildwood Shopping Center nine years ago.
Hatam says if you mention this blog, you’ll receive 20 percent off through Mother’s Day.
Also at Wildwood Shopping Center is Madeline (301-564-9087), started by Susan Rosen in 1990 whose mother also had her own store.
Rosen named her shop after her daughter. The store has ongoing regular daily sale items.
Bethesda’s Urban Country is run by mother/daughter team, Rachelle and Jillian Roth.
The store is currently offering 40 percent off most furniture and 20 percent off accessories through Memorial Day.
And finally, Rockville’s Progressions Salon can tally four pairs of mothers and daughters who work together:
Owner Cindy Feldman’s daughter, Skylar Ludwick, is the salon coordinator.
Cecilia Palomo, a nail technician, works with her mother, Maria Palomo, a shampoo assistant.
Senior stylist Ashleigh Gottlieb’s mother is Linda Gottlieb, the inventory manager and Feldman’s sister.
Stylist Silvia Platero’s mother, Arely Platero, is part of the support staff.
The salon is offering a “3 for $99” Mother’s Day special—a manicure, makeup application and blowdry—as well as discounts on gift cards.
