The local community swarmed the campus of Landon School for the 59th annual Azalea Garden Festival on May 4-6.
Many thousands came out to stock their gardens and for tours of the 2½ acre Perkins Gardens, visits to FunLand, and shopping at more than 50 boutiques.
They also heard music from local musicians, including the Landon Symphonette’s “Azalea Goes Pops” concert held al fresco this year.
All of the festivities benefited student financial assistance and faculty enrichment. One in five Landon students currently receives financial aid.
