Walter Johnson High School hosts a fashion show to benefit the Stone and Holt Weeks Foundation

On Tuesday, May 1, 2012 Walter Johnson High School was a fashion hot spot with the Annual Seize Life Charity Fashion show to benefit The Stone and Holt Weeks Foundation.

Each year since 2006, a group of dedicated students have hosted a fashion show to benefit a charity of its choice. This year students under the leadership of seniors, Olivia Stearn and Maddy Kunkle, worked with The Stone and Holt Week’s Foundation to raise about $5000.00 to benefit MDA Camp (Muscular Dystrophy Association.) To top it off, the presentation created enough excitement that 50 students signed up to receive information on volunteering at a MDA Camp.

The funds were raised by ticket sales and a silent auction of all the donated clothing, shoes, jewelry and accessories from over 30 designers. Top designers like Alexis Bittar, Cynthia Steffe, Dolce Vita, Eddie Borgo, Elizabeth McKay, Pamela Love, Rory Beca and Sue Wong contributed. Delicious sweets were donated from local favorites like Fraiche Cupcakery and Breads Unlimited. The student models had their make-up done by Make-Up Artist Tiffany Anne Hill. No fashion is complete without the right music. DJ D donated the lights and his services for the evening.
